Hi all
from time to time kingofsat report on newly added transponders on their homepage.
I was wondering are these transponders added automatically by the STB or should they be added manually?
I don't seem to have a 'Satellite Scan' option for looking for new transponders on the software.
Should I wait for a new 'Firmware' update.
Adding transponders manually is now a lost cause as I have'nt been keeping track of all the new frequencies.
My system is set up primary for Astra 28 and 19 degrees. (Two dishes).
Thanks in advance.

- #2The satellite receivers that I have allow me to manually add a transponder and then scan it to find the channels.
- #3You can manually add transponders,on the TF7700HSCI:
Editing the transponder listYou can add, delete or modify, satellite or transponder information.
Select the Installation > SAT/TP,Edit menu.
To add a transponder entry, select your desired entry at the Satellite Name option and select the Add new TP option. Then the transponder information box appears. Enter a frequency and its symbol rate with the numeric buttons, and specify its polarization.
To delete a transponder entry, select your desired entry at the Frequency option and select the Delete TP option; then you get asked for confirmation. If you select Yes, it will be deleted.
Page 36 of the manual - #4Sorry, but I should have stated in my original post that I have added 'some' transponders, manually.
My biggest problem is I have not been keeping track of the new transponders as they come up.
Is there a source for the full transponder list from astra or is it a case of scrolling through all the satellites listed in e.g. 'kingofsat' and checking transponders against my STB to see if they are included.
It sounds like it might be a bit time consuming:yawn:

You could use Topset or Vega to add, edit transponders, frequencies, channel lists etc, instead. - #6Thanks for that.
Actually I have used 'Topset' before.
A great program.
I just need an up to date transponder list so I can get typing:)
Any tips??? - #7Thanks for that.

King of Sat,has lists for each satellite, which you can download,in .ini file format.
I don't know whether it is compatible with Topset or Vega, but you could give it a try.
Even if its not,you can still down load the lists to save on your PC.
Just click the .ini lick for each satellite required. - #8King of Sat,has lists for each satellite, which you can download,in .ini file format.
